About the Book
When an ancient fragment surfaces in the modern world, it does not remain a quiet scholarly discovery for long.
What begins as a manuscript event quickly becomes a struggle over custody, interpretation, publicity, and control. Scholars want caution. Institutions want containment. Others want influence, certainty, and a version of the truth that can move faster than the evidence.
As the fragment passes through private rooms, public pressure, religious interpretation, and engineered narrative, the danger becomes larger than the text itself: who gets to shape how the world hears it first?
The Oldest Fragment: The Judean Variant is a suspense-driven biblical manuscript thriller about ancient evidence, modern power, manufactured belief, and the deadly consequences of getting the order wrong.
For readers of: Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, James Rollins's SIGMA Force series, Tosca Lee's The Legend of Sheba, and anyone who ever wondered what the early church decided not to preserve — and why.
An Excerpt
Prologue
The archive had been sealed for sixty years when the ceiling came down.
Nathan Hale Mercer was three meters into the secondary corridor when he heard the sound — not the crash he expected, but a long, dry exhalation, as though the building had been holding its breath since the 1960s and had finally decided to let go.
The dust settled.
And there, in the rubble, was the fragment.
He knew what it was before he'd cleared the debris from its edges. He'd spent fifteen years handling papyrus in controlled environments, under proper lighting, with proper tools. This was none of those things. But age has a texture you don't forget.
He photographed it with his phone. He photographed the context. He photographed the corridor, the collapse, the date on his watch.
Then he sealed it and sent word to the team.
That was the last normal thing he did for a very long time.
